ART PRINT - AVAILABLE ON DIFFERENT MEDIA
This series was painted in isolation during the pandemic from 2020-2022. The inspiration for this series came from "Kensho", a Japanese term from the Zen tradition. Ken means "seeing", sho means "nature, essence". It is usually translated as "seeing one's (true) nature". It signifies growth inspired by pain to prompt a shift to raise consciousness. In the Buddhist tradition, there are two paths of growth. The first is Kensho (the low unfolding of the soul) and the other, Satori (moments of dramatic insight) - both open personal opportunities to connect with our higher self.
The Covid pandemic was both a source of pain and sacred portal for the human collective, we endured pain that pushed us to grow our consciousness towards deeper meaning and connection.
